Ian Glover has thirty six years’ experience in information technology and has specialised in professional services for the last twenty eight years. Ian is the President of the CREST (GB). CREST is a not for profit organisation that promotes research and development in standards for professional technical Information Assurance practices. CREST serves the needs of an information security marketplace that requires the services of regulated and professional security professionals. The CREST qualifications in penetration testing, intrusion analysis, reverse engineering and security architecture have been assessed and are recognised by the UK government and are gaining significant credibility at an international level. CREST is also part of a consortium with the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) and Royal Holloway College London to provide IA certification services to the UK Government. Ian is also part of the UK project team building the next land speed record car, Bloodhound SSC. The project has been designed to break the existing record and exceed 1,000 mph and provide and inspirational project to encourage youth into science maths and engineering. Prior to this Ian was one of the founding Partners of Insight Consulting which was one of the leading independent IT security consultancies. The business was sold to Siemens and Ian then sat on the Board of Siemens Communications.
